Solitopia (Poem)

I am a watched pot,

A new tomorrow,

The thrill of the chase,

The sweetness in sorrow.

Cat in a box,

A fleeting romance,

Pillar of rocks,

One step in the dance.

To be truly alone,

Even just for a moment,

Sustains and absolves me,

Bestows my atonement.

Without that I’m nothing,

My bubble is burst,

To fear it is one thing,

But to miss it is worse.

Unseen panoply,

Beyond scopophobia,

Won’t you come back to me,

Solitopia.
